Zora Neale Hurston once said, "there are years that ask questions and years that answer." In many ways, 2020 was a year that did both. Whether you taught asynchronously, remotely, in-person, or in a hybrid modality, teaching your students effectively through the ups and downs of the last year and a half has likely required you to approach your work with what Zen Buddhists call "beginner's mind." In this informal session, we will share our experiences with teaching through the pandemic, highlighting key successes, disappointments, and insights to transition into the new semester more connected to each other and better equipped to apply the collective lessons 2020 taught us about our work and ourselves in the years ahead.
